What is a University of Alberta CCID and why do I need one?

Format: a CCID is typically a combination of your initials or first-and-last name; example: jsmith

Your CCID is used to:

  • access your ualberta.ca email account and U of A's suite of Google Apps

  • connect to WiFi – University Wireless System [UWS] – while on campus

  • log in into eClass – our online course portal
  • log in into Bear Tracks – an online self-service portal for students:

    – register in courses
    – confirm course schedules/location/textbooks
    – download your course confirmations/receipts
    – check your grades
    – request transcripts
    – manage personal data
    – download tax receipts (T2202A)

All students are assigned a University e-mail account. All official University correspondence will be sent to your @ualberta.ca email account, so it is important to check your ualberta.ca email often. Your ualberta.ca email can easily be forwarded to your personal email address.
