The CCID and temporary password are e-mailed to all new applicants and first timecourse/program registrants automatically within approximately 48-72 hours following their registration/application along with instructions on how to activate and use their CCID.
To activate your CCID and @ualberta.ca email account go to the IST password manager to set, change, or test your password. In some cases it can assist with forgotten passwords or can resend CCID and password information to you. We have prepared a short video tutorial on how to change your password: http://www.extension.ualberta.ca/services/student-services/faq/#5
For more information please see the CCID Getting Started web page.
A note about the temporary password: in order to use your CCID you are required to change the issued temporary password to a permanent one. Your password must be changed prior to attempting to access either Bear Tracks or your UAlberta email address. Using your temporary password to access Bear Tracks will suspend your system access, and another temporary password would have to be generated and sent to you. Please change your temporary password as soon as possible after receiving it.
